During the Farnborough aeronautical show, a Mirage 2000 disappears in the middle of a demonstration. The French military sends Captains Antoine Marchelli and Sébastien Vallois out on patrol over the North Sea, towards the zone where the Mirage disappeared off the radar screens. The pilots discover the plane concealed by an Airbus A340. The Mirage begins to lock into combat position. At the same time, Marchelli and Vallois receive the order to give up the chase without further delay. But it's too late, the Mirage is about to shoot down Vallois; Marchelli shoots it down to protect his crew member. This incident is the starting point of an enormous set-up aimed at hijacking a French fighter plane for terrorist purposes. A set-up whose final act takes place on the 14th of July in the skies above Paris, over the Champs-Elysées, in the presence of the same two pilots, Marchelli and Vallois.

Gladiator 2 is the highly-anticipated sequel to Ridley Scott's 2000 period epic, Gladiator, starring Russell Crowe as the fierce Maximus. This historical fiction film set in ancient Rome was a critical and financial success, earning 12 Academy Award nominations and five wins, including Best Picture. The actor stars as King Louis XV in the French-language film "Jeanne du Barry," his first onscreen role since his and ex-wife Amber Heard's defamation trial. The first trailer for the historical drama, which dropped on Wednesday, shares the first look at Depp acting in French in his portrayal of the 18th century monarch. The film follows the story of Jeanne, the last royal mistress of France. According to its synopsis, the title character "uses her intelligence and allure to climb the rungs of the social ladder one by one. She becomes the favorite of King Louis XV who, unaware of her status as courtesan, regains through her his appetite for life."
