FILM DESCRIPTION:
The inner-workings of a corrupt Las Vegas casino are exposed in Martin Scorsese's story of crime and punishment. The film chronicles the lives and times of three characters: "Ace" Rothstein (Robert De Niro), a bookmaking wizard; Nicky Santoro (Joe Pesci), a Mafia underboss and longtime best friend to Ace; and Ginger McKenna (Sharon Stone, in a role she was born to play), a leggy ex-prostitute with a fondness for jewelry and a penchant for playing the field. Ace plays by the rules (albeit Vegas rules, which, as he reminds the audience in voiceover, would make him a criminal in any other state), while Nicky and Ginger lie, cheat, and steal their respective ways to the top. The film's first hour and a half details their rise to power, while the second half follows their downfall as the FBI, corrupt government officials, and angry mob bosses pick apart their Camelot piece by piece.

DEVIL IN A BLUE DRESS REVIEW BY RONDA RACHA PENRICE
Devil in a Blue Dress is one of Denzel Washington’s best films. As Ezekiel “Easy” Rawlins, Washington is a migrant from Texas, a Black man in Los Angeles, just trying to make it in a 1940s world. A job lost and need for work to pay his mortgage leads to all kinds of mayhem that gets him trapped between the color line and possibly charged with multiple murders. Just like Washington’s acting, Carl Franklin’s adaptation and directing is top-notch in this film noir. From the look and feel to the wardrobe and music, Franklin doesn’t miss a beat. Performances by Don Cheadle as Mouse, a breakout role for him, and the often-forgotten Lisa Nicole Carson as Coretta are just spectacular. It’s a delicious film that’s always delightful to watch, regardless of how many times you may have seen it. And, if you’re watching it for the first time, oh boy, lay back and relax because this one is a treat for the eyes and the soul.

Denzel Washington turns up the heat as an L.A. private eye in this steamy mystery from executive producers Jonathan Demme and Edward Saxon and writer/director Carl Franklin. This trailer is a concept-mashup that shows my idea of what the Teaser-Trailer for "I am Legend 2: Last Man on Earth" might look like.

also known as recut trailers, involve collecting multiple pieces of film footage from one or multiple movies and editing them to create a new trailer. Trailer mashups are often created for a movie that does not exist now or to change the genre of an existing film. These are derivative works as defined by the United States Copyright Act 17 U.S.C. § 101, and as such, may find protection from copyright claims under the doctrine of fair use.

The trailer mashups are not only a user generated form of digital creativity but a way to create anticipation for future releases, working in tandem with current movie trailers. Movie trailers are designed to give minimal plot detail and to create hype and anticipation. Fan made trailer mashups allow the audience to perform their own cinematic spin on current movie footage. This allows the trailer to focus on a specific actor or portion of the film. It could even change the plot or genre of the film entirely.

I Am Legend 2 is a American post-apocalyptic action thriller film loosely based on the 1954 novel of the same name by Richard Matheson. Directed by Francis Lawrence, the film stars Will Smith as US Army virologist Robert Neville.

"Warners was really, really, REALLY into coming up with something, and I just didn’t know how to do it… I saw very quickly after the movie came out, and I went ‘People came to see The Last Man on Earth. We’ve done The Last Man on Earth. He died at the end of the movie; we can’t do it again.'"
Francis continued, explaining why a prequel wouldn't have made sense either: "It just felt forced to do a prequel, and that was basically, we would have been doing Contagion. And to do something that’s a follow-up either doesn’t have him in it, or you have to do something really dumb, which is, you know, ‘Scientists have taken his DNA and reanimated him somehow!’ And that would have been really dumb, and so I just kind of bowed out."
It's been more than a decade since I Am Legend premiered in theaters and it looks like that was the last time Smith will ever be seen in the role. It's entirely possible the story gets the reboot treatment once more but it likely won't be with Smith or Lawrence involved.
