Derek Jarman struggled for seven years to bring his portrait of the great Renaissance painter Michelangelo Caravaggio to the screen, producing a critically acclaimed masterwork and powerful meditation on sexuality, criminality and art. Told in flashback as the artist (Nigel Terry - Troy) lies dying in poverty, the film brilliantly recreates the look and colour of Caravaggio's original paintings while exploring the homoerotic subtext of his work. Speculating on the artist's relationship with his model Ranuccio (Sean Bean - Lord of the Rings), the film explores a vicious love triangle also involving the model's wife, played brilliantly by Tilda Swinton (Orlando, Michael Clayton) Jarman's muse and collaborator throughout several films, this was Swinton's first feature role. With luscious production design it was the first major film production for award-winning costume designer Sandy Powell (The Aviator, Skakespeare in Love) the dazzling Caravaggio is arguably the most accessible of Jarman's films.
The possibility for laughs exist in these bizarre bits of business, but laughter never comes. This long opening scene exists solely to introduce Red as a comically unpleasant, gold-obsessed monster. I give Polanski some credit for never trying to redeem this character's faults, but that doesn't mean I enjoyed spending time with Red or any other character in this film.

As a wealthy Swedish family celebrates the birthday of their patriarch Alexander (Erland Josephson, Cries and Whispers), news of the outbreak of World War III reaches their remote Baltic island — and the happy mood turns to horror. Troll Trailer - Directed by John Carl Buechler and starring Noah Hathaway, Michael Moriarty, Sonny Bono, Phil Fondacaro, Phil Fondacaro. Torok is an ancient troll, and he is using the body of Wendy Anne to disguise himself, in order to take over an apartment building. Using an emerald ring, Torok transforms the residents into plant pods and plans to restore his old world in which he once lived in many years ago. For a film class final project, I decided to redo the trailer for Spike Lee's film "She's Gotta Have It." My goal for this trailer was to make the film appear more like a feminist film.
Millionaire Thornton Melon’s (Rodney Dangerfield) son is a college misfit, so Thornton lends some fatherly support...by enrolling as a fellow freshman! Who cares if he never finished high school? Thornton’s pockets are deep enough to buy his way in! But when he steals his professor’s girlfriend (Sally Kellerman), Thornton goes just a little too far. Now, he’ll have to hit the books, instead of his bank account – or go back to being the world’s wealthiest dropout!
