It is a dark satire on the rampant corruption in Indian politics, bureaucracy, news media and business, and stars an ensemble cast including Naseeruddin Shah, Ravi Baswani, Om Puri, Pankaj Kapur, Satish Shah, Satish Kaushik, Bhakti Barve and Neena Gupta.

[FROM ME] Such a great film. Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro introduced ignorant me to the fact that Hindi dark satires existed in the 80s and before. This film could definitely be made today, unlike what some might say, and I think I'd love it just the same. The climax of the film will need viewers to know about the Mahabharat to truly understand why the scene is a comedic riot, therefore, I suggest to brush up on your Mahabharat knowledge before watching.
