I remember this film as THE horror movie when I was I child. Had to check out the trailer, and more or less everyone was slating the trailer. Hopefully they will appreciate this version more.

The 13th Warrior is a 1999 American historical fiction action film based on the novel Eaters of the Dead by Michael Crichtonand is a loose retelling of the tale of Beowulf and the writings of Ahmad ibn Fadlan. It stars Antonio Banderas as Ahmad ibn Fadlan, Diane Venora, and Omar Sharif. It was directed by John McTiernan. Crichton directed some reshoots uncredited. The film was produced by McTiernan, Crichton, and Ned Dowd, with Andrew G. Vajna and Ethan Dubrow as executive producers.

George Clooney, Mark Wahlberg and Ice Cube star in Three Kings, the story of a small band of American soldiers in Iraq at the end of the Gulf War who seek adventure and fortune in attempting to steal a huge cache of gold hidden somewhere in the desert.
