The inspiration behind this video:

The Anaconda remake gets a new update from Paul Rudd and Jack Black, who unite for a video to reveal the film's release date. Released in 1997, Anaconda follows a National Geographic film crew as they are forced to work with an obsessed hunter to capture the world's largest snake. A sequel was released in 2004, followed by new installments in 2008 and 2009. After the franchise lay dormant for 15 years, it was confirmed this August that a comedic Anaconda remake is on the way from director Tom Gormican, with Black, Rudd, and Daniela Melchior all set to star.

Sony now shares a new video featuring Rudd and Black on the Anaconda remake's tropical-looking set, with the pair revealing that the film will hit theaters Christmas 2025. Though there's some confusion over whether the movie will be called "Anaconda" or "The Anaconda," Black does promise that "there's gonna be a big f--king snake."

The new documentary Israelism examines the growing generational divide among Jewish Americans on the question of Palestine, with many younger Jews increasingly critical of Israel and less supportive of Zionism. Simone Zimmerman, one of the protagonists of the film and a co-founder of the group IfNotNow, says she grew up being told that supporting Israel was central to her Jewish identity, but that collapsed once she visited the Occupied Palestinian Territories and saw the system of apartheid under which millions live. “It’s so deeply contrary to our values as Jewish people to support this disgusting oppression and denial of freedom,” she says. We are also joined by Erin Axelman, co-director and one of the producers of Israelism, who says Zimmerman’s journey mirrors their own and those of many other young Jews who realize they “must fight for the freedom and equality of Palestinians while also fighting antisemitism.” The film is on a 40-city screening tour in Canada and the United States after previous efforts to ban the screenings on several campuses.

Watch The Empire Strikes Back theatrical trailer, which debuted in fall 1979 and gave audiences their first look at the sequel to Star Wars. In addition to a sampling of scenes taken from the entire movie, the trailer surprisingly features footage that was cut from the final film, including a kiss between Luke and Leia, C-3PO removing a warning sticket from a door in the Rebel base on Hoth, and more.
