The inspiration behind this video:

Tom Holland has long been considered a top contender to portray Ben Tennyson in a live-action adaptation, with fan-made concept trailers championing him for the role. Among the various Ben 10 storylines, Alien Force seems to be the best fit for Holland. In some ways, Ben Tennyson shares similarities with Peter Parker. Both characters are young heroes burdened with the responsibility of saving the world from dangerous villains, making the role somewhat familiar territory for Holland. Following the success of Spider-Man: Homecoming, where Holland was praised for capturing the complexities of a young hero with overwhelming responsibilities, he’s proven he can thrive in this type of role. However, Ben 10: Alien Force has a much darker tone. With its more intricate plot, fewer comedic moments, and the willingness to kill off characters, it marks a shift from the lighter, more heroic portrayals Holland has been known for thus far.

Although he’s set to lead several major films, including Uncharted, Holland has shown a growing interest in grittier narratives, as seen in projects like The Devil All the Time and Cherry. A Ben 10: Alien Force adaptation could serve as the perfect blend of the lighter superhero roles he's excelled in and the darker, more complex characters he’s eager to explore. The franchise comes with a built-in fanbase, and the source material was considered challenging and sophisticated when it first aired. While plans for a live-action adaptation currently seem dormant, should they move forward, Holland would be an excellent choice to lead the project.

Jet Li is back as irrepressible folk-hero and martial arts master Wong Fei-hung in the No 1 Hong Kong Box Office smash-hit "Once upon a time in China 2".

Featuring a tense, atmospheric story which centres on Canton and the destructive power struggle between the official government, the emerging democracy movement and the rabidly xenophobic White Lotus Cult, this movie entered the record books as the 100th movie to depict the life of legendary hero Wong Fei-hung, making the series the longest running in movie-making history.

Jon M. Chu (“Now You See Me 2”) directed the contemporary romantic comedy “Crazy Rich Asians,” based on the acclaimed worldwide bestseller by Kevin Kwan.

The story follows New Yorker Rachel Chu (Constance Wu) as she accompanies her longtime boyfriend, Nick Young (Henry Golding), to his best friend’s wedding in Singapore. Excited about visiting Asia for the first time but nervous about meeting Nick’s family, Rachel is unprepared to learn that Nick has neglected to mention a few key details about his life. Not only is he the scion of one of the country’s wealthiest families, but also one of its most sought-after bachelors. Being on Nick’s arm puts a target on Rachel’s back, with jealous socialites and, worse, Nick’s own disapproving mother (Michelle Yeoh) taking aim.

It soon becomes clear that the only thing crazier than love is family, in this funny and romantic story sure to ring true for audiences everywhere.

“Crazy Rich Asians” features an international cast of stars, led by Constance Wu (“Fresh Off the Boat”), Gemma Chan (“Humans”), Lisa Lu (“2012”), and Awkwafina (“Ocean’s 8,” “Neighbors 2”), with Ken Jeong (the “Hangover” films”) and Michelle Yeoh (“Star Trek: Discovery,” “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon”). Yang (“Silicon Valley”), comedian Ronny Chieng (“The Daily Show”), Remy Hii (“Marco Polo”), and Nico Santos (“Superstore”).

Color Force’s Nina Jacobson (“The Hunger Games” films) and Brad Simpson (“World War Z”), and Ivanhoe Pictures’ John Penotti (“Hell or High Water”) produced the film, with executive producers Tim Coddington, Kevin Kwan, Robert Friedland, and Sidney Kimmel. The screenplay is by Peter Chiarelli and Adele Lim, based on the novel Crazy Rich Asians, by Kwan.

The creative filmmaking team included director of photography Vanja Černjul (“Marco Polo”), production designer Nelson Coates (“Fifty Shades Darker”), costume designer Mary Vogt (“Kong: Skull Island”) and editor Myron Kerstein (“Going in Style”). The music was composed by Brian Tyler (“Avengers: Age of Ultron”).

“Crazy Rich Asians” was filmed entirely on location in Singapore and Malaysia. It is set for release on Wednesday, August 15, 2018.
