Documentary exploring the murky circumstances behind the escape of one of Britain’s most notorious spies.

In 1963, at the height of the Cold War, a well-educated Englishman called Kim Philby boarded a Russian freighter in Beirut and defected to Moscow from under the nose of British Intelligence. For the best part of thirty years he had been spying for the Soviet Union, much of that time while holding senior jobs in MI6.

Fifty years on, more questions than answers still surround his defection. Had he really confessed before he went? Was his escape from justice an embarrassing mistake or part of the plan?

This film, shot in Beirut, London and Moscow, sets out to find the answers, revealing the blind spots in the British ruling class that made it so vulnerable to KGB penetration.

Presenting the official trailer of Hamid, the story of an eight-year-old boy who learns that 786 is God's number and decides to try and reach out to God, by dialing this number. He wants to talk to his father, who his mother tells him has gone to Allah. One fine day the phone call is answered, and two lives shattered in the strife of Kashmir find a way to be complete again. Directed by Aijaz Khan, the film stars Talha Arshad Reshi, Rasika Dugal, Vikas Kumar and Sumit Kaul.

Hamid premiered globally at the Jio MAMI 20th Mumbai Film Festival with Star in October 2018. The film has also bagged two prestigious awards at the 5th edition of the Rajasthan International Film Festival (RIFF) - Best Actor won by Rasika Dugal and the Best Director won by Aijaz Khan.

Releasing on 15th March.

It is a satirical take on a battle against government & its employees who are unwilling to work for the betterment & welfare of society. From the panchayat to the employees in electricity department are all reluctant to work for the revolution in the village by sticking to the superstitions of the villagers...
