Hitler's army was rapidly closing borders in August of 1939 while eighty-five American missionaries were serving their church inside Germany. As the German military preparations escalated, word came to speedily move those LDS missionaries to safety in adjacent countries. Taken from the personal diaries of those missionaries, this riveting story is a testimony that God truly leads and protects His servants, opens doors, and provides timely inspiration. The harrowing escape of these missionaries from Nazi Germany as World War II started is one of the most remarkable but little-known events in LDS history.
In 1997, scientists and local government officials face life-and-death decisions when a destructive flood wave threatens the city. The local authorities, led by the aspiring clerk Jakub Marczak, bring in Jaลmina Tremer, a female hydrologist with a troubled past, to help save the city at any cost. At the same time, Andrzej Rฤbacz returns to his hometown Kฤty near Wrocลaw, unexpectedly leading the rebellious residents.
High Water is a suspenseful, six-episode disaster drama series inspired by the real-life events of the Millennium Flood which hit Poland, as well as parts of Czech Republic and Germany in 1997. Directed by Jan Holoubek and Bartลomiej Ignaciuk, starring Agnieszka ลปulewska, Tomasz Schuchardt, Ireneusz Czop, Marta Nieradkiewicz, Mirosลaw Kropielnicki, Anna Dymna and Tomasz Kot.

"Wataha" ("The Pack") is a story about border guards in the Bieszczady Mountains but also about a place which determines specific attitudes and behaviours. The story starts with a bomb attack which kills officers from a Border Guard unit deployed in the Bieszczady Mountains. Only one of them survives. Captain Rebrow (Leszek Lichota) loses his friends and his beloved Ewa in the attack. Shattered, he tries to get to the bottom of the assault and find out who is the mastermind behind the bombing. His commanders are also determined to reveal the truth. The official investigation is led by the prosecutorโs office.
The series tells the story of people on the borderline โ the border of the state (the external border of the European Union), the border between the worlds of rich and poor, and the border of ethical dilemmas and choices. The series is set in the Bieszczady Mountains and is about border guard officers, who are tested to the limits of their morale and physical endurance. The series offers a rare glimpse into the stories of people who illegally cross the border.
Virgin Bieszczady Mountains are a magical place which has not been fully discovered. Its the land of stunning vistas, fog blanketing mountain pastures, pocket-sized villages, Orthodox churches seamlessly blending with the landscape. People whove been living there for generations and those who have moved there in search of peace and harmony. This is the place where the plot of HBOs new TV series โThe Packโ unfolds. Most scenes were shot on location in the Bieszczady Mountains.
